All Jobs No Bounties
Let me first start out by saying that I do like the idea and the concept of Bountyjobs.com however after trying out the service I believe that it will be hard one to accept from a recruiting stand point.
I became a registered user of BountyJobs around two months ago. As we are a RPO and have access to numerous recruiting tools I thought it would be a good back-up for candidate submittals as well as get us in front of some new clients. The premise is a simple one, and here is how it works.
1. Bountyjobs takes on the responsibilities of making the calls doing the marketing and getting the employers engaged to utilize the service.
2. Bountyjobs gets compensated by making a % of the placement fee so it behooves them to get more clients as the more clients and recruiters they get working on their needs, the more money they make.
3. After your profile is submitted you’re able to start viewing job, getting engaged with jobs and start submitting candidates.
As I mentioned it’s a very simple process and the system is laid out very nicely and very easy to use. So what’s the problem you may ask. Well it all goes back to the employer agency relationship. Even though the companies have taken the time to get engaged with Bountyjobs and put their postings on the site, they don’t every check on the system or respond to messages. One of the reasons why I have been successful in the past with submitting candidates is that I know exactly what the employer wants, not just what’s in the job posting. This could be a variety of things including what companies to recruit from, what are in the intangibles.
As you can see below that I had requested numerous times to get engaged so that I might be able to submit candidates to the client but they would never respond. This is just one example and I can image that someone is making money off of this, but it goes back to the old adage….the chicken & the egg.
Good luck to bounty jobs and hopefully they can find a system to weed out unresponsive customers.
