Companies Taking More Risk – Get More Reward

One of the push backs that we have been receiving from both the agency side and the end user side is people are wary of utilizing recruitment search engine marketing. Potential customers are usually fearful of new technology, innovation, when it comes to something that they have to pay for.

America has grown up in fear. Lock your cars, don’t cross the street, don’t talk to strangers, put your house alarm on. From the time you’re born, a lot of fear and negativity is instilled in you, thus you need to question and fear everyone and thing that has been put in front of you.

I am quite the skeptic, and yes, I question new products, ideas thoughts as I compute it from the data in my head that I have acquired. What I mean by this is, if there is no data supporting that job postings don’t work, then yes, I would say job postings do work. If the newspaper industry is doing great, then let’s keep placing classified ads in newspapers and attracting talent. Or maybe search engine marketing is a fad and Google will soon be out of business, well that’s where I draw the line. There has been data upon yearly data to support that general job boards don’t work and utilizing them to find the best talent is really a crap shoot. The newspaper executives are still driving dinosaurs to work everyday but now their lifeline is to grab a hold of the job boards that don’t work and invest more money into them. If you still believe job boards work, ask them how they have branded you, your company, or your jobs lately? I can answer that question for them, they haven’t. They have branded themselves and put you into an abyss of thousands of other companies that candidates have to find you in.

Companies that step outside of their fear/comfort zone, and take on risks and challenges, get the reward, as it takes risk to get reward. However, when it comes to search engine marketing, companies really aren’t taking as much risk as a job postings or using a newspaper and it comes down to one word….METRICS. Using our platform, I can serve an ad to my neighbor, or to China, and track that person from ad capture (what got them interested in my ad) to apply to my job.

I would like to salute some of these companies that have taken no risk in utilization of search engine marketing for recruitment. Here is a short list of them, if companies this size are doing this…SHOULDN’T YOU?
